Join First UMC as we read “The Story” together in 2015!
Starting January 11, 2015 we will begin a journey through the entire Bible as we read “The Story.” “The Story” is the Bible as one continuing story of God and His People. For 31 weeks we will cover an easy to read chapter each Sunday in worship as the scripture and message, then we will go into greater depth of that same chapter in Sunday school for children, youth and adults.
“The Story” provides age appropriate levels of the same material for all ages that will allow for parents and grandparents to discuss what they have been reading with their child/grandchild because their version of “The Story” covers the same material in an age-appropriate way. Need a book?
Copies of “The Story” are located in the Welcome Center at First UMC.
Please take a copy, and write your name on the list provided so we know how many people are reading “The Story”
Cost for the book is: $5
You can pay at the Welcome Center, put $5 in the offering plate, or drop your payment off at the church office.
Children’s books will be given to the Sunday School teachers to give to the children in their class. If you would like to purchase a book for a child not in Sunday School or for a relative please contact Pastor Jeb or the church office.
Adult Study books will be given to each Sunday School teacher for their class. If you are not currently part of a Sunday School class, you are encouraged to join one to study “The Story” next year.
